SXSW Panel Voting Round 2
September 20th, 2006
Round 1 of the panel selection process for SXSW has concluded and we should know in the next few weeks what the results of that round were. In the meantime round two of the voting has begun with 162 new panel ideas that were submitted in the last month. I just cast my votes for this round and while not as hard as the first round it was defintely difficult. There are couple that I wanted to point out. “Moving Large Corporations Towards Accessibility” by Chris Massey should be a good one. I tried to get Chris to change the title of his to “Moving Large Corporations Towards Accessibility and Standards”, but it may not matter since we general bundle the two together. Annette Priest’s panel suggestion “Perspectives on Designing for Global Audiences” is about designing for different regions and countries (something Americans probably need more than others). As the world become “flatter” this type of information will become more important. There are a lot of great panels to vote on in this round so make sure you vote.
