Work a theatre and Every Business Is a Stage

What happens when people began to value the experience of receiving a service or product more than the tangible item that was delivered? In The Experience Economy Joseph Pine & James Gilmore explore how companies have begun to successfully use goods and services as components for delivering experiences that engage customers in a personal way. The book basic premise is that society because of economic prosperity, technology and simple consumer evolution desires experiences that engage them. This is a concept that has been echoed in other books like The Design of Everyday Things, Do You Matter and A Whole New Mind.
My Take On The Book
Definitely a book worth checking out. We see “experience” as a product more often today than when the book was first written, so there are lots of modern examples that you will be able to look at.
