The first time I heard Best I Ever had I decided to look the video up and immediately said to myself that guy looks familiar. Turns out I was right because Canadian rapper Drake first became known for playing a character named Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation. After what Rolling Stone called “one of the biggest bidding wars ever” Drake signed with Young Money Entertainment in June of 2009 and this is one of the first singles he released on the label. Definitely a party track.
