HiMA (Houston Interactive Marketing Association) is getting ready for the 3rd annual Interactive Strategies conference. Interactive Strategies is an annual interactive marketing conference focused on teaching and exploring new techniques and strategies for making your interactive marketing efforts more effective. The conference home for the last two years has been the Angelika Film Center in downtown Houston. The conference will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 and will feature 32 speakers who will cover social media, SEO, Design/UX and strategy.

I’m really looking forward to speaking Interactive Strategies. Almost all my time these days in dedicated to working in and with Houston’s interactive community. The community is supportive and truly interested in learning as much as possible about interactive and online marketing.

My presentation The Rebirth of Slick: Why Design is Cool, And Why It Will Make People Love Your Company is focused on why companies need to understand the total impact of design and why it will get more consumer interested in the things your company has to say and do.  This is not a traditional design presentation! While there are a lot of traditional design ideas the really about two things: 1)The roadblocks  companies experience when going about becoming design focused. 2)Why it doesn’t matter how  perfect your processes and measurements are if you are solving the wrong problem.

Registration for the conference is now open.
