Chester French is another one of those groups that amassed a lot of press and a huge Myspace following before their first album was released? How much press did they generate? Enough to start a bidding war between Pharell Williams Star Trak, Kayne West and Jermaine Dupri’s labels. Chester French is a duo from Harvard University that mixes hip-hop with with a British soul influence that definite produces a unique sound. Definitely not a sound I would have expected from a group that named themselves after a sculptor.
