Most managers would like to say that their employees are enthusiastic and committed ans work to get things done without a lot of input. The truth is employees aren’t empowered just because you send a decree from on high. What might really surprise you is that most actions intended to empower usually have the opposite effect leaving managers wondering why people won’t act in “empowered” ways.
